Membership

First and foremost, membership in Cape Cod Kennel Club means meeting and talking and doing things with people who share a love of dogs, and depending on one’s competitiveness, a love of the ring. On the more tangible side, members receive invitations to special events, the club newsletter, and training fee discounts. Club meetings are usually held on the first Monday of each month and typically feature guest speakers who discuss various aspects of dog ownership, such as handling, training, grooming, canine health, etc.

Applying For Membership
Membership is a two-step process. The first is an introductory period that serves to familiarize you with the club and its members, and vice versa. This period starts when you submit an Introductory Membership Application and a $5 fee. You’ll then receive the club newsletter announcing upcoming meetings and club activities. Over the next six months, you must also participate in three club activities, which can be attending general meetings and/or assisting in club-sponsored events.

The second step is securing two member sponsors and applying for one of the following Full Memberships:
Individual – 18 years of age and over ($20/year)
Household – two individuals from same household ($25/year)
Junior – 13 to 17 years of age ($10/year)
